Because I don’t have enough to do…

They say that the best person to ask to do something for you is a busy person…That must explain a lot about my life.  I recognize the busy-ness in which I function and for the most part, I’m comfortable with it, but there are times when I wonder how in the world I will do it all.  And yet, I’m adding blogging to my list of things to do…Why in the world would I add something else to my already full to-do list?

Well, the answer is simple and complex all at the same time.  I love to write—it’s one thing that I really love about going to school; I get to write A LOT…And I also want to show my daughters that it’s important to do things that make you feel good and share them with others.  I want them to know that if something really makes them happy and gives joy to their souls, they should try to pursue it.  That’s one of the reasons I am back at school at the almost first anniversary of my 39th birthday—I know that teaching Special Ed will bring joy to my soul and now thanks to my husband, my family, and a lot of help from my community of friends,  I finally have the opportunity to finish my degree  (another important lesson for my daughters).  It’s not easy and there are days that I have to keep telling myself that one day I’ll be finished and in my own classroom and it will all be worth it, but I’m slowly getting there.  I’ve been in school for the last year or so and I have about two years left.

So I’m not sure what I’ll do in this blog, but here it is and here I am.  I don’t know how frequently I’ll get to do this, but I’ll write when I can and hopefully share something that is useful or meaningful to someone.
